 :: Grand Tetons - Jackson Hole Wyoming 2007 ::

As we left Yellowstone and came around Oxbow Bend, the Tetons appeared and it was quite a sight. No photograph, no matter how good, can convey the enormity and grandeur of these mountains. The park ranger we spoke with on the way in called them the "American Alps" and for good reason.

On Mormon Row, a dirt road that extends off of Antelope Flats Road, stands the remains of the farm houses built by settlers of the Jackson Hole Valley. These made for excellent foreground and at 5:30am as I drove north on Hwy 191 towards the Tetons, I knew I was in for a good time as there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the pristine early morning light was coming into full bloom.
